Welcome to Atlanta Antiques & Auctions at MyHart.net
Antiques Headed For Metro Atlanta Antique Auction (Cumming, GA)
The web domain MyHart.net was the first domain name that I purchased. I first thought of the name My Hart in 1996 to market the antiques and antique furniture that I sold at Metro Atlanta antique auctions. Long before there was an AuctionZip.com for Atlanta auctioneers and auction houses to advertise their auctions on. I was searching for a better way of advertising the truck loads of antiques and furniture that I bought, hauled and sold at metro Atlanta antique auctions.
By January of 1999 I was considering the use of billboard advertising to get the message out about the antiques that I was selling at antique auctions near Cummng, Georga. However the cost of using billboards would have been quite prohibitive for the small Metro Atlanta antique auction company (My Hart Auctions, Inc.) that I had helped start!
While buying antiques in Michigan I had attended an antique auction which featured digital images displayed on a TV monitor. These images were used to hightlight the antiques being sold at their antique auction. The internet certainly hadn't reached the importance in January of 1999 that it has today. However it seemed to be a great way of displaying "color" images for our Atlanta antique auction customers to view. Which was not possible using the black and white auction flyers that we were mailing at the time. Owning a website in 1999 certainly was not as easy or inexpensive as it is today! Best I remember my monthly cost was over $100 for hosting and the software necessary to display our antique auction photos.
Today as I add content to MyHart.net I plan to again use this website to feature my North Georgia antique auctions. Which I now hold at 129S Antiques & More Auction located between Cleveland and Gainesville Georgia.
